Senior Finance Systems Engineer:
Customer Description:
A global mobility and urban services platform that allows users to book transportation and other services while interacting directly with service providers.The platform offers multiple service categories, including transportation, intercity travel, delivery, and task-related assistance across numerous international markets.
Project Description:
Finance Systems Engineer will support the integrity and accuracy of financial data across multiple systems within the Sales-to-Cash cycle.

Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical thinking with exceptional attention to detail and advanced problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to structure and interpret complex datasets
• Ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and business stakeholders
• English language proficiency at B2 level or higher
• Russian language proficiency is considered an advantage
Hard Skills / Must Have:
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills, including experience working with large datasets and writing optimized queries (joins, subqueries, CTEs)
• Solid understanding of relational databases and data structures, with the ability to reconcile data across multiple systems
• Basic but clear understanding of accounting principles, including financial statements (P&L, balance sheet), debit/credit logic, and reconciliation processes
Hard Skills / Nice to Have (Optional):
• Experience with payment providers or fintech environments
• Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, 1C, or similar)
• Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.)
• Basic understanding of data warehouses, cloud platforms (e.g., BigQuery), or system integrations
Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Identify, analyze, and resolve data discrepancies between internal systems, external payment providers, and actual cash received in bank accounts
• Perform end-to-end analysis of the Sales-to-Cash process and validate source data, settlement files, financial postings, and bank transactions
• Validate data against contractual terms and expected reconciliation logic
• Conduct root cause analysis to determine the source of discrepancies and ensure timely resolution in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
• Work with large datasets, build and optimize queries, and perform structured data audits to ensure completeness, consistency, and accuracy across systems
• Support finance stakeholders by explaining discrepancies, improving transparency of data flows, and ensuring correct usage of reports and tools
• Contribute to data process improvements and system integration initiatives across revenue-related workflows
