A global video streaming provider offering a single subscription for numerous TV channels and a wide library of media content.

Project Description:

We are searching for a DevOps Engineer to join a large-scale digital media streaming platform.

The project includes supporting the transition from a Docker-based setup to Kubernetes and maintaining automation pipelines.

The specialist will collaborate with an existing DevOps Engineer and help ensure platform stability, scalability, and reliability.

• 2–3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or SRE

• Experience maintaining production systems in on-prem environments

• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Linux distributions

• Advanced OS administration skills: networking, systemd, SELinux, firewalld, troubleshooting

• Experience with RPM packages and internal package repositories

• Experience configuring a CI/CD platform (pipelines, runners, variables)

• Experience using container registries

• Ability to automate build and deployment workflows

• Strong Docker knowledge: image building, optimization, security

• Experience with Docker Compose

• Experience administering on-prem Kubernetes clusters

• Experience configuring deployments, services, ingresses, secrets, ConfigMaps

• Experience working with Helm

• Understanding of ingress controllers, networking plugins, load balancing

• Experience configuring nginx as reverse proxy and load balancer

• Ability to apply Lua scripts for routing logic

• PostgreSQL installation, configuration, administration, backups, performance tuning

• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or Ansible

• Experience configuring Prometheus and Grafana

• Experience with logging solutions (ELK/EFK or equivalents)

• Knowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP

• Experience configuring firewall, VPN, NAT, TLS certificates

 
Hard Skills / Nice to Have (Optional):

• Experience administering other databases (MySQL, Oracle DB)

• Automation or tooling development with Bash / Python / Go

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Maintain, operate, and improve on-prem production infrastructure

• Administer Linux systems and handle networking, systemd, SELinux, firewalld, troubleshooting

• Manage RPM packages and internal package repositories

• Configure and support CI/CD pipelines, runners, variables, and registries

• Build, secure, and optimize Docker images; maintain Docker Compose setups

• Administer on-prem Kubernetes clusters, including Helm deployments

• Configure nginx as proxy and load balancer, using Lua when necessary

• Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL, backups, restore, tuning

• Automate infrastructure using Terraform or Ansible

• Set up monitoring and logging systems, alerts, dashboards

• Configure security and networking elements: firewall, VPN, NAT, TLS

• Participate in incident response and RCA

• Develop automation scripts in Bash/Python/Go
